After the founding of countless towns and cities church architecture developed, due to a lack of cut stone, on the basis of bricks and initially blossomed still in the Romanesque and early Gothic style. Masons’ workshops provided the technology and trained the craftsmen. Artistic workshops supplied altars for interiors with a high degree of mastery.
